About Moth & Moon

Dr. Rebecca Lake, DC is the creator of Moth & Moon, an end of life doula service in the Quad Cities area.

As an energy worker and intuitive chiropractor, Rebecca operated Shine Chiropractic, a successful chiropractic practice in Des Moines, Iowa, for 5 years before moving back home to the Quad Cities. Her compassion and empathy make her a welcome companion when navigating such an emotion-filled and overwhelming time.

Rebecca earned a B.S. in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration from Western Illinois University. With a minor in event management, Rebecca knows what it takes to plan for major life events, and how to execute them precisely according to her clients’ wishes.

Rebecca studied at the Palmer College of Chiropractic, earning her doctorate of chiropractic in 2016.

Rebecca is a credentialed member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA), the National Association of Certified Death Midwives (NACDM), the National Home Funeral Alliance (NHFA), and is an alumni of Deathwives’ Deathschool (Fall 2023). She continues to expand her knowledge about compassionate care at end of life. She also volunteers as a hospice caregiver at Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, IA.
